I felt like this once two years ago. A co-worker was fired and his client's were redistributed, and all of a sudden my case load became impossible! Then I found out that she had given files to 2 of my other co-workers who had rejected these particular clients as "too difficult" before assigning them to me!
There was little comfort when I learned the explanation!
